What are you doing on 9/12? Consider the following:
- Host a block party
- Volunteer with the Red Cross
- Donate blood
- Volunteer at your church
- Organize care packages for the military
- Hand out copies of the Constitution
- Together with family or friends, brainstorm ways you might more fully apply one or more of the 12 Values
- Hand out copies of the Declaration of Independence
- Adopt a highway
- Organize a 5k run in commemoration of 9/12 unity
- Write thank-you cards to people who have positively impacted your life
- Organize a “movie marathon” featuring liberty-themed films
- Make cookies for ten other people
- Fly an American flag somewhere especially visible
- Commit to reading a liberty-themed book (and gift a couple to friends or neighbors)
- Say hi to people you pass on the street
- Donate to a worthwhile charity
- Clean a local park
- Host an event for veterans
- Post something about the significance of 9/12 on Facebook, Twitter, and/or your blog
- Pray (with gratitude)
- Volunteer at a soup kitchen
- Donate food to a food bank
- Clean out your wardrobe–and donate extra clothing to the Salvation Army
- Smile all day
- Together with family, compose a list of everything you are thankful for
- Donate toys to your local women’s and children’s center
